Grey solar sensor cables are designed to connect the pump station to cylinder. This then works by allowing the maximum heat to be directed direct to the cylinder. As the temperature increases so will the inside of the cylinder. This continues until the grey temperature thermostat senses that the cylinder is up to maximum operating temperature. Once this happens the pump station controller takes over and directs the heated fluid to the most appropriate circuit. Once the temperature inside the cylinder drops the grey sensor cable sends a message to the controller to open the circuit once again to replenish the temperature to sufficient levels.
