Flat Roof Solar Panel Mounting

When installing solar panels on a flat roof, the mounting system must be suitable for both the roof covering and the proposed solar panel arrangement.

Our flat surface solar mounting systems use ballast-weighted mounting configurations, helping avoid unnecessary penetration of the roof covering.

The correct configuration depends on the proposed panel layout and the characteristics of the building and roof.

S Dome Flat Roof Solar Mounting

The S Dome system is designed for solar panels facing approximately south and installed in a landscape orientation.

The system uses ballast weighting to secure the solar panel mounting arrangement on the flat surface.

D Dome Flat Roof Solar Mounting

The D Dome system is designed for east/west-facing solar panel arrangements, with the panels installed in a landscape orientation.

This configuration can be useful where the available roof area or desired solar generation arrangement makes an east/west layout appropriate.

Ballast Calculation

Because these are ballast-weighted systems, we need information about the proposed installation to determine the appropriate ballast requirements.

When ordering, please provide as much information as possible, including:

• Parapet wall height, where applicable
