PV Roof Rail – Solar Panel Mounting Rail

Our PV Roof Rail provides the aluminium mounting rail used to secure solar panels as part of a solar PV roof mounting system.

The rails are available in 2.5m and 3.65m lengths, providing practical options for different solar panel layouts and making the rails easier to transport to site.

The rail is designed to connect to suitable solar roof fixing brackets using the appropriate T bolts and nuts.

Solar PV Roof Rail Lengths

We currently offer:

• 2.5m PV roof rail – suitable for approximately 2 standard solar panels in portrait orientation
• 3.65m PV roof rail – suitable for approximately 3 standard solar panels in portrait orientation

The actual number of panels that can be accommodated depends on the dimensions of the solar modules and the required rail arrangement.

Solar Panel Mounting Rail

The PV roof rail forms part of a complete solar panel mounting system.

It can be used with suitable roof fixing brackets for different roof types, including:

• Slate roofs
• Plain tile roofs
• Concrete/pan tile roofs
• Rafter-mounted systems
• Other suitable solar PV roof mounting applications

The appropriate roof bracket should be selected according to the roof covering and supporting structure.

Connecting Solar PV Rails

Where additional rail length is required, rail sections can be mechanically joined using a suitable:

This allows multiple rail sections to be connected to create longer mounting runs.

Rail T Bolts & Nuts

The PV roof rail is secured to suitable mounting brackets using:

and

M10 Serrated Nut

These components provide the mechanical connection between the mounting rail and the roof fixing bracket.
